The Gemstones & HOOD Junior youth groups are teaming up for our first 2018 monthly outing. March 4th 2018 is Clean Up Australia Day and we are so excited to be getting outdoors to participate in this great community effort. As Muslims it's an amana to look after the Earth and clean up after ourselves and others. We hope to instil this through practical skills and teaching our youth to step forward when there is good to be done. Therefore we are doing our part by meeting up at Faulkner Park (the park area near Volcano Park Belmont) and spending time some time working in teams to clean up this much loved local park. After work, comes play! So we have a treasure hunt, lots of games and free play at Volcano Park prepared for our awesome young youth group kids. This school holidays the Diamonds of Islam Youth Group have organized a scavenger hunt at IKEA Innaloo.

We have lots of challenges planned and lots of prizes up for grabs. We’ll be splitting the girls up into small groups with an adult to supervise each team.

We’ll have lunch at the start of the session and then proceed with the scavenger hunt after.

It is with great excitement that the Islamic Centre of West Australia announces our next major community event for the year, Family Camp 2019. This year the camp will have a theme which will be connected throughout the weekend to many of the planned activities. & learning. The theme will be: A Day in the House of the Prophet (peace be upon him) The camp will be at Kerem Adventure Camp located in Bullsbrook. Alhamdulillah this is around 40 minutes from the Perth City however provides a wonderful retreat from the rush of the city life. The camp will take place from Saturday 20th to Monday 22nd April at a cost of $150 for Adults 18+, $110 for Children aged 5 - 17 years old. Children aged under 5 years old are FREE. The Iman Raising Race is back for its third consecutive year! This year its all about our youth and getting them competing against each other in good. On location at the Perth zoo, teams of 5 will need to solve clues and finish challenges to receive their next clue. Racing through the zoo in search of the finish line! After a couple of months of break, the Gemstones & HOOD Junior youth groups are getting back together to host another monthly outing for ALL boys & girls aged 6 - 11years old. On Sunday 29th July is National Tree Day 2018 and we will be participating inshAllah. We will be planting tree and helping with regenerating bushland areas. Abu Hurairah (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Seven are (the persons) whom Allah will give Shade of His Thrown on the Day when there would be no shade other than His Throne's Shade: A just ruler; a youth who grew up worshipping Allah; a man whose heart is attached to mosques; two persons who love and meet each other and depart from each other for the sake of Allah; a man whom an extremely beautiful woman seduces (for illicit relation), but he (rejects this offer by saying): 'I fear Allah'; a man who gives in charity and conceals it (to such an extent) that the left hand does not know what the right has given; and a person who remembers Allah in solitude and his eyes well up".
